amenbo 0.1.12 — an Intel Mac installer, and guidance that keeps up

Intel Macs now have an installer of their own. The guidance amenbo leaves in a bound folder is also brought up to date after you update amenbo, so an AI agent started there no longer reads the old wording.

Two fixes: Intel Macs can install amenbo, and the guidance in your folders keeps up with the app.

What changed

Intel Macs have an installer — until now the mac installer was Apple-silicon only, so on an Intel Mac there was nothing to install. There is now an Intel .pkg as well, with Intel builds of both the app and the CLI inside it, and the “a newer version is available” prompt on an Intel Mac points you at the Intel installer.
The guidance in a folder catches up with the app — when you bind a folder to amenbo, amenbo leaves guidance for AI agents there. Updating amenbo did not reach that guidance, so an AI agent started in the folder read the old wording. It is now brought up to date the first time you use amenbo in that folder after an update. A folder whose guidance is already current is not written to at all, so its modified time stays put, and a folder that cannot be written is left alone, as before.

Getting it

Open the installer for your OS from the latest release. The GUI and CLI come together.

macOS — .pkg, one for Apple silicon and one for Intel (first open shows a Gatekeeper prompt: right-click → Open)
Windows — setup .exe
Linux — .deb / .rpm

To update, re-run the same installer.
